Q1) Are training centres easy to get to?
Answer: Yes, training locations have been chosen which are close to public transport or main roads
Q2) How many training centres are there?
Answer: There are 5 training centres to choose from. One close to each of the 10 East London Boroughs this project operates in.
Q3) How is the project funded?
Answer: The Women into Management project is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and supported by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) London East.
Q4) Who can go on this management training programme?
Answer: We have strict eligibility criteria for the individuals who join this training programme as stated below:
Age – 20-64
Gender – Female
Employment Status – Employed, working for a not-for-profit organisation or unemployed (restricted numbers)
Geographical area – Primarily those who live or work in the London East area - we can however take a small number of women who do not live or work in the London East area, please contact us as soon as possible while we still have places left
Company size – Small or Medium Sized Enterprise (SME) i.e. less than 250 employees
Q5) What if I am not eligible for this project, can I find training elsewhere?
Answer: If you do not fit the eligibility criteria (Q4) then call us anyway and we will give you details of other training courses you can join.
Q6) What London Boroughs make up the East London area?
Answer: Barking & Dagenham, Hackney, Newham, City, Bexley, Havering, Redbridge, Greenwich, Lewisham, Tower Hamlets
Q7) What qualifications are available?
Answer: You can achieve a Certificate in Management from the Chartered Institute of Management. We are also offering NVQs both Level 3 and 4 in Management from the Chartered Management Institute.
Q8) How much does it cost to achieve a Chartered Management Institute qualification?
Answer: The normal total cost for this training course is £2350 but because of the funding received from LSC and ESF you only have to pay £705. If you are unemployed or work for a charity, not-for-profit or voluntary organisation then you pay nothing toward the cost of the training.
